Tusk Rio Casino celebrated the
New Year in style with their medieval themed New Year bash.
Everyone got into the theme of things with the guests arriving
in medieval costumes.
Tusk Rio brought us many shows
and entertainment in 2005 and they promise that 2006 will be an

be a great success.
With open nights held on
Monday's giving local band the opportunity to show what they've
got. The finale was held on 16 December 2005. The turnout was
quite amazing.

Education ministry commits to no-fee policy |

|
Naledi Pandor, the education
minister, says the government is committed to implementing the
no-fee school policy at some schools this year.
Pandor says KwaZulu-Natal and
Gauteng have already identified schools that will be declared
no-fee schools as agreed by the Council of Education Ministers
in 2005. She rejected any suggestion that the Education Laws
Amendment Bill would not become law this year.
Pandor says the bill has
already been passed by both houses of Parliament and is awaiting
only President Thabo Mbeki's signature.

SENWES DONATES TO HOSPICE |

Hospice Matlosana received a generous
donation from Senwes. Carpets, desks and computers were delivered to their
premises in Hendrik Potgieter Street, Klerksdorp.
Joan de Jong - CEO of Hospice Matlosana, joined by Charleen
Diedericks Projects Manager, and Estelle du Toit - Nursing Director,
expressed their appreciation, on behalf of the staff, to Senwes Corporate
Services General Manager - Joe Maswanganyi, and Assistant General Manager
Corporate Services (Marketing and Communications) - Johan Grobler.
