be erected for the taxi industry along Central avenue. This
administration complex, which is the first of its kind in South
Africa, is going to provide a venue for training, development,
negotiations and meetings.

OPERATION BEAR: STOP CHILD RAPE! |

|
Child rape is a serious and devastatingly common
problem in our country. According to the statistics of the new
Rape Crisis Centre at Tshepong Hospital, a new and independent
of government finance institute, averages of four women come in
for shelter after rape a day. A total number of 1223 females
came in, in 2005, a third of that number being children.
Operation Bear is a project to create awareness of these
increasing numbers.

St. Conrad College recently did very well at the
North West swimming Trials bring home a couple of medals.
Back: Finlay McArthur (2 silver), Isla McArthur (1 silver, 2
bronze), Cheri Silent (4 bronze), Elwyn Silent (1 gold, 2
silver, 2 bronze)

POOL TOURNAMENT |

Tusk Rio Casino
hosted a pool tournament this weekend that attracted many
national players. The Barnyard theatre was packed with ten pool
tables and over a hundred participants eagerly making their
attempt at the first prize of R5000, a pool table and a weekend
away. Second prize of R2000 and a weekend away as well as third
prize of R1000 and a weekend away were just as appetizing.

SAINT
CONRAD'S WINS 88 MEDALS |

|
The North West Swimming trials were held on Friday 20 and
Saturday 21 January 2006. A total of eleven High School swimmers and twenty
two primary school swimmers represented Saint Conrad's College. These
swimmers did exceptionally well bringing home a total of eighty eight
medals.
