Yes its us invading your mail-box on a Friday, we normally do this on Tuesdays, but Monday is a public holiday( Hoo-Ha!!) and their is so much that we would like to send out to you, we just couldn't wait. I promise not to bother you again on Tuesday 

Its Friday and yes its the 13th, hope nothing bad has happened, there is a lot of superstitions that goes with this day, some people believe that its a bad day and some believe it is a good day, I believe its a day.

For you out-there who believes its a bad day stay in bed, or maybe you shouldn't, what if the roof caves in on you and your trapped and no one safes you and you miss all the fun of the long-weekend.

Hulle gaan 'n drie gang ete voorsit wat Kersfees regtig Kersfees sal maak. Om alles af te rond gaan die ete 'n "pennie poeding" insluit. As jy dus hou van lekker eet en kuier bespreek nou, plek is beperk.

Kostes is slegs R65 per kop.

Op oujaar bied Kavaliers 'n groot dans aan met 'n skapie op die spit en ,n groot lekker boere-kuier wat tot in die vroeë oggend ure gaan duur. Jy sal moet bespreek as jy wil seker wees van jou plek. Kaartjies vir die een is slegs R25 per kop.

We all love going away this time of year, it helps to get away from all the hustle and bustle of work and your everyday live. What is very important though is that you come back home finding that hustle and bustle the way you left it, it is very frustrating returning home and finding that someone has broken into your home or even worse, the neighbor or police phoning you on your holiday giving you the bad news. 

For those of you going away take care and think about the following few things:

• Make sure all windows are closed and all outside doors are locked.

• If you are only going away for the night leave a light on for when you return.

• Make sure that your alarm system is working and activated when you leave for your holiday.

• Give your security company a call informing them that you are going away and when you will be back.

• Ask someone to remove your post from your postbox.

• If you have newspapers delivered to your home notify your supplier that you will be away, and that they must stop your delivery, if they cant get someone to collect your paper from your home.

• If you have timers running your light see that their set at the right times.

• make sure that someone cuts your lawn.

All you now need to concentrate on is to have a good time and a carefree holiday.

If you are worried about the weight that you will pick up over the X-MAS season, don't despair, we have found just the thing for you to do.

On the 11th of January 2003 (yes nice and early in the new year) you can come and shed those unwanted kilos at a cycle race. The race will start at 14:00 and there will be a 70km race for those who really went overboard, a 40km race for those who at-least tried to behave themselves, and a 10km race for those who doesn't know the words No Thank You !!.

There will be prizes to be won and also some lucky draws, the race will start at 2 from the Portuguese hall, entry fees are R 35, R30, and R25. This coincides with the race distances and probably your budget after the "silly season".
