Prestigious Provincial Tourism Award

The tourism industry is known for it's dynamic approach to economic development and unique individuals.  Do you have someone in mind for this prestigious award?

World Cup Cricket Fever - Canada vs. NW Dragons in Klerksdorp.

The Canadian Cricket team will be warming up in Klerksdorp. The match will be played against the North West Dragons on 6 February 2003, right in our hometown "the city of people" Klerksdorp.

Spectators are welcome to join the festivities, which will be held at the Manzil Park Cricket Stadium.  The game starts at 10:00 and tickets will be on sale for R10.00 or R20.00.

The KPS Drum Majorettes will be performing for the first time this year and a trio from Wesvalia High School.  The unveiling of a plaque will be the highlight of the day, to celebrate the launch of the grand new clubhouse.

Let's get behind the organizers of this event and support The North West Cricketers.  Klerksdorp are proud to be part of the World Cup Cricket agenda and a big thank you goes especially to the Department of Sports and Recreation.  Who have put many hours of preparation into this event.

This Summer, There's A New Lord Of The Dance!

Working Title Productions, the producers of Bridget Jones's Diary, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Fargo, Notting Hill and Billy Elliot, present Daisy von Scherler Mayer's hilarious romantic comedy, The Guru, a mishap-laden, cross-cultural tale about the search for the American dream.

A young Indian dance teacher named Ramu Gupta (Jimi Mistry) embarks for New York City in pursuit of fame and fortune only to find himself working as a waiter in an Indian restaurant. 

Through an encounter with Sharonna (Heather Graham), a beautiful adult-film star, the shy, inexperienced Ramu is mistaken for a spiritual leader – the Guru of Sex – and becomes an overnight celebrity.  Fame comes at a price, however, and Ramu must choose between his newfound fame and his growing love for the beautiful Sharonna.
