This Weeks Movie Review:

Catch Me If You Can

The True Story of a Real Fake.

Frank Abagnale, Jr. (Leonardo Di Caprio) worked as a doctor, a lawyer and as a co-pilot for a major airline – all before his 18th birthday. A master of deception, he was also a brilliant forger, whose skill gave him his first real claim to fame: At the age of 17, Frank Abagnale, Jr. became the most successful bank robber in the history of the United States. FBI Agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) had made it his prime mission to capture Frank and bring him to justice, but Frank is always one step ahead of him, baiting him to continue the chase.

Oscar nominee Leonardo Di Caprio and two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks engage in a game of cat and mouse in the real-life crime drama Catch Me If You Can, under the direction of three-time Oscar winner Steven Spielberg .

General Events

In 105, A.D., Ts'ai Lun invented paper. He made it from bamboo,
mulberry, and other fibers, along with bamboo, fish nets and rags.  Then he sat around for literally centuries and waited for someone to
invent ink.

In 1619, Margaret and Philippa Flower were burned at the stake for
practicing witchcraft in Lincoln, England. Known as the flower sisters, the two women, along with their mother, Joan, had cast spells upon various members of their employer's family. Joan didn't help things during the trial when she picked up a piece of bread and said "May this cake choke me if I am guilty." Then she took a bite of the bread and dropped dead.

In 1810, Emperor Napoleon of France was married by proxy to Archduchess Marie Louise of Austria. Marie had never seen Napoleon. She didn't even see him on the wedding day. He sent a stand-in to represent him in the marriage ceremony.

In 1850, the Women's Medical College of Pennsylvania, the first medical school entirely for women, is incorporated.

In 1969, Levi starts to sell bell-bottomed jeans

In 1972, the first electrocardiography by telephone is performed (the
patient was in California and the doctor was in the Philippines).

In 1998, 5 years ago, The International Astronomical Union issued an alert, saying a mile-wide asteroid could zip very close to Earth on
October 26th, 2028, possibly colliding with it. They said the asteroid, which had not been seen before, would pass as close as 30,000 miles to the Earth. Dr. Brian Marsden of the International Astronomical Union said. Even if it were on a path to hit Earth, technology might be available by then capable of deflecting the asteroid. (But the next day, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory said there was no chance the asteroid will hit Earth.)
