	Die bankreus, Absa, het 'n tjek van R40 000 aan die Noordwes Universiteit se gemeenskapsprojek, Ikateleng, geskenk. Dit is deel van hul betrokkenheid by gemeenskapsonderrig-projekte. Die projek het al daarvoor gesorg dat duisende matriekleerders opgelei is, sodat hulle by 'n tersiêre instelling kon inskryf. Dit is 17 jaar gelede deur die Departement Bemarking en Kommunikasie van die Universiteit op die Vaaldriehoekkampus, begin. In 1990 is dit na die Potchefstroomkampus, in 2004 na Taung en in 2005 na Mafikeng uitgebrei. [Read More]

	Elaine Labuschagne, the owner of EL ROI Bible Centre, donated a substantial number of books to the New Vision Secondary School's library. ANNUAL HOSPICE CABERET AND TEA
	On Saturday, 17 September, the annual Hospice Caberet and Tea was held at the Portuguese Hall. It was a fun-filled event with lucky draws and prizes for the best dressed lady, as well as the prettiest set table. The Khaya Tshepo choir performed as an interlude to Cutt Glas. With hostesses, Joan de Jongh and Charleen Diedericks, the afternoon progressed into a thoroughly enjoyable experience. [Go to page]
Kabouterland
	Kleuters van Kabouterland het onlangs elkeen 'n “kunswerk” gemaak en verkoop om fondse in te samel vir 'n nuwe “Jungle Gym”. Tjaart Wyer het die “Jungle-Gym” vir die skool gebou. Dit is op 31 Augustus voltooi en op 2 September ingewy. Kabouterland bedank graag al die ouers wat bygedra het om die projek 'n sukses te maak. [Go to page]

Rotary Club Exchange Student
	Johan Gerber (Rotary Klerksdorp), Sandy Botha (City of Matlosana) & Mike Stocken (President of Rotary Klerksdorp) In the absence of the Executive Mayor, Ms Sandy Botha, Divisional Head of the city of Matlosana, handed over a cheque for R 20 00, to go toward the Rotary Skate Board park, which is a community project, and currently being developed at Flamwood Walk, which is situated on the N12 National Treasure Route.
