How to set-up my email...

Microsoft Outlook 2003

 

Click Tools: Email Accounts; Add new e-mail account; Click Next;

 

 

Select POP3 and click Next;

 

 

Fill in the following details:

Your name; Piet Pompies

Email Address; 'piet@yourdomainname.co.za/.com'

Incoming mail server, 'pop.yourdomainname.co.za/.com'

Outgoing mail server, 'smtp.yourdomainname.co.za/.com'

Username (this would be your email address)

Password (this would be supplied by Yourcity)

 

Before clicking next, click "More settings" (right, bottom corner)

 

 

Click the second tab: 'Outgoing server'; Make sure 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' is checked and 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server' is selected; Click OK ;

 

If you are connected to the internet - Click 'Test account settings' to check that the email is working. If your email does not work the first time try clicking 'Test account settings' another 2 or 3 times as it does not always work the first time.

 

If after this you still get no success out of it, contact

Yourcity at 018 46 88 88 3 and we will assist you as soon as possible.

Click Next;

 

 

Click Finish;

Click Tools; Account Settings; Email; New




Click Microsoft Exchange POP3; Select: 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' ; Click Next;
 



Select Internet Email; Click Next;



 

Fill in the following details:

Your name; Piet Pompies

Email Address; 'piet@yourdomainname.co.za/.com'

Incoming mail server, 'pop.yourdomainname.co.za/.com'

Outgoing mail server, 'smtp.yourdomainname.co.za/.com'

Username (this would be your email address)

Password (this would be supplied by Yourcity)

 

Before clicking next, click "More settings" (right, bottom corner)

Select Email Account; Click Next;

 

 

Enter your name; Click Next;

Type in your Email Address; "piet@yourdomainname.co.za/.com";

 


 

Select your Incoming Mail Server: POP3;

Type in your Incoming Mail Server: pop.yourdomainname.co.za/.com;

Type in your Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.yourdomainname.co.za/.com;

Select "Outgoing Server Requires Authentication";

 

 

Type in your email address: piet@yourdomainname.co.za/.com

Type in your Username which is your email address: piet@yourdomainname.co.za/.com

Password: (Your password will be supplied by Yourcity)

Click Next;

 


Click Finish; Click Send-Receive to receive your mail.
