Run through our check list below
to help determine the reason your email is not working:
• Check if your DSL line is working
• Make sure that all your cables
are plugged in
• If on a local network, check
that the network is active
• Check that your router/ modem
is plugged in
• Switch the router/ modem off
for 5 seconds and then on again to reset it
• Open up a command prompt by
clicking Start; Run; type in 'cmd'

In the window that pops up type
in the following:
ping www.yourdomain.co.za -t
Or alternatively you can type in
Yourcity's web address as your domain will be located on the
same server:
ping www.yourcity.co.za -t
Press Enter

If there is no response open up
your Internet Explorer and go to your Internet Service
Provider's Home Page.
If you can view you Internet
Service Provider's website but not any other sites, this
probally means that you have reached yourcap. Contact your
ISP to buy more cap.
If you are able to surf the web
but your email is not working, please contact Yourcity
at 018 46 88 88 3.
If you are unable to surf the
web and cant see you ISP's website contact your local
technical computer technician or call Yourcity's preferred
computer technicians:
