Yourcity Supports Local Events

The team of Yourcity recently attended the 5th Annual Graduation Fashion Show of the North West School of Design, which took place on the 16th of October 2004 in the basement parking of the City Mall in Klerksdorp.

Student designers presented their ranges to the public and left the public gasping for air.  Over 500 people attended the show and 100 fashion designs graced the catwalk that evening.

The highlight of the evening was when Anlyne Greyling, was presented as the “Designer of the Year 2004”, which is the highest accolade a student of North West School of Design can obtain.

Another highlight of the evening was when Anël Botha, a grade 12 learner form High School Wesvalia was chosen as the “Design your Future” winner.  With this she wins a bursary to study Clothing Design and Technology at the North West School of Design, valued at R20 000.  Chantal Ferreira from Yourcity modeled Anël Botha’s winning design.

Other prize winners was Mari Grobler who obtained the “Showstopper 2004 Award” and Marelene Grobbelaar and Cristina Langa who walked away with the “Best Team 2004” award.

Miss Glitz and Glamour 2004

Miss Glitz and Glamour was recently held and what an event it turned out to be.  Beautiful girls and ladies from all over took part in this event.

Miss Glitz and Glamour was a great success and we hope this event will flourish in the following years to come, said the organizers.
