BUSINESS CHAMBER’S ANNUAL AWARDS
The Wesvaal Chamber of Business presented business awards to deserving recipients during their Annual Banquet on Friday, 22 October 2004, at a gala evening held at the Strathvaal Recreation Club Hall.
The sponsors who contributed towards the success of the evening were:
Nedbank, Mac Steel, OMV Crushers and Standard Bank.
The keynote speaker, the Premier of North West Mrs Ednah Molewa rendered apologies on the morning of the banquet and her address was delivered by the MEC for Sport, Arts & Culture, Ms Nkiwe Num.
The Executive Mayor Mr PA Nxamakele announced the members to represent the Klerksdorp area on the 2010 Soccer bid committee, as well as the Klerksdorp Development Agency Board members.
This is of great significance for Klerksdorp as they will identify feasible projects for development to attract investment and to create jobs in the area.
The City Council pledged R50 000 towards (KEDA) Klerksdorp Development Agancy, and the Executive Mayor challenged the business sector to better this pledge.
