REMAX kantore nou oop

The cricket match

On the 9th of December, my Dad won 2 tickets through Your City newspaper, in Klerksdorp, it was a competition my dad had entered to watch S.A vs England.

When he told me about this I was really excited because I love the game of cricket and I am a very big fan! On the 11th of December we went to the Sedgars Cricket Grounds in Potchefstroom. When we got there England was batting while S.A bowled. After an hour of waiting, the first wicket fell. Marcus Thresstrothick out for 6, bowled by Ethy Mbhalati and caught by Mark Boucher.

Around tea time S.A bowled England out for 225. When S.A started to bat my dad and I went to their dressing rooms to ask Mark Boucher a favour. So my dad asked Albie Morkort to call him. When he came my dad asked him how his dad was doing. Mark said that he was fine. You see, my dad knows his dad from playing bowls together in East London. He then asked Mark for a favour. The favour was if he would have a photo taken with me, he said that it was fine and asked us to wait for him after the game.

When the first day ended, my dad and I walked once again to the dressing rooms, but he wasn’t there.

We waited for a while and then my dad heard someone practicing in the nets and said that it must be Mark. We went to the nets and waited for him. When he came out he took three photos of me and signed my S.A flag which says “To: Natalie, keep smiling, from  Mark Boucher”.

He really was a sweet person and I wish to thank him. Thank you Mark, for your time and kindness.
