WIN TICKETS TO SEE PRELUDE LIVE

 

The 28th of August 2004 will be one of the biggest rock shows and CD launch parties that Klerksdorp  have ever seen.

 

PRELUDE have come along way through their four years, with playlisting on various radio stations, an airing of their music video on Dstv, performances at festivals such as Woodstock, performances with bands such as Saron Gas aka Seether, Tweak, ect... winners of various battle of the bands competitions, reviews in various youth orientated magazines and interest ranging as far as the United Kingdom.

 

The Happy Family rock show will feature some of the countries, most dynamic and achieving rock bands all in one place at the same time. Prelude, Klerksdorp’s very own “celebrity” band will be releasing their very first and long awaited album entitled, “Happy family”.

 

Prelude have invited a list of special guests to perform and party the night away with them. All ages are invited and the bands will ensure that there is something for everyone.

Strict security will be present to ensure that everybody enjoys themselves. Show will start at 6pm at the Portuguese Hall.

Prelude and Yourcity will be giving away two tickets to the The Happy Family rock show. All you have to do is tell us what the name is of Prelude’s newly released CD! Send your answers as well as contact details to e-mail: or fax to: 088 018 468 8883.

Tickets for the show cost R30 and will be money well worth spent. Tickets are available at the office of Yourcity (C/N of Platan & Smit street). Tickets will also be available at the door.

Hoërskool Skoonspruit hou fees

 

Hoërskool Skoonspruit se jaarlikse bierfees het hierdie jaar op die 7de Augustus te Oppenheimer Binnehuise Stadion plaas gevind en almal het hulle gate uit geniet.

 

Daar was hope gratis bier, uitstekende kos en musiek waarop ‘n mens die heel aand makietie kon gehou het.

Readathon 2004 is here

 

Readathon is an annual national awareness campaign promoting reading and literacy among South Africans. It takes place in 27 000 schools and education centres throughout South Africa and is supported by public and private sectors.

 

All the READATHON activities aim to encourage today’s learners to read.

The READATHON 2004 will be launched on 2 September 2004 at the Potchefstroom Hospital. The activities will commence promptly at 10:00 until 11:00.

Kindly note that the MEC of education, Mr OJ Tselapedi will also be attending this function.
