GO AHEAD, MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The “Do It Day” Call to Action -

Friday 28 October,  is about to become a bright red-letter day on the South African calendar. This, the first-ever “Do It Day” will enable thousands of enthusiastic South Africans to contribute their skills and energy to execute specific development projects in just one day.

“Do It Day” is a national call-to-action campaign, that connects individual and group volunteers, to worthy causes that will benefit from person-power and expertise, which they don't normally have access to.  Engaging volunteer energy, is a powerful way for development organisations to further their objectives, and build their organisational capacity.

Volunteering is also a wonderful and meaningful way for people to make a contribution to development in our communities, because giving is not simply about money.

There are many people who are willing and able to volunteer to a worthy cause, but don't know how to go about it, or have only limited time available.  If this applies to you, ”Do It Day” is your chance to get involved with a project that impacts positively on the greater good of South Africa.

It is easy to sign up for a “Do It Day” project that appeals to you.  Bona fid, non profit development organisations have posted their one-day proposals on the website -  www.DoItDay.co.za.

You can browse the array of projects, and choose one near you that is meaningful to you. “Do It Day” project, range from financial planning to gardening, brand strategising to renovations.  You can sign up online, and also form a “Do It Day” team with friends, family and colleagues.

“Do It Day” is a Greater Good South Africa campaign, in partnership with the JDI Foundation, and is sponsored by Wesbank.
