Tusk Rio recently held a Christmas Wish list were people could send Father Christmas all their wishes and Tusk would make them come true. Tusk received hundreds of letters asking for all kinds of things like Sony Playstation two, trip overseas, new car and so on. The letter that really tucked on Tusk heartstrings was from Mrs. Marais who only asked for a good meal this Christmas. Mr. Marais recently lost his job and since then they have been surviving on bread and soup.
Tusk took them shopping at Pick 'n Pay for groceries as
well as Christmas presents for the whole family, including their
four year old daughter. Goes to show that the true spirit of
Christmas is still alive. Thursday, the 8th of December, was a magical day at Khaya Tshepo Daycare Centre. As Santa Clause arrived on a fire engine, the children were over-excited. Each of them had a turn at sitting on Santa's knee, and each received a beautiful gift. All of the smiling faces were made possible by The City Council of Matlosana. |
