edition of Yourcity. Budget gets adjusted for Council The first special meeting of the City Council of Matlosana, was held at the Council Chamber in the Civic Centre, on 19 January, to adopt the 2005/06 budget. The Executive Mayor P A Nxamakele, decided to submit an adjustment budget to Council. A meeting was called for council's input, and a motion was put forward to adopt the budget. Before this motion was put forward, during the discussions, the Council raised many important issues that the budget supports, such as the recognition of the need to perform better with capital projects and to put more effort into plans not yet carried out fully. Their goal is to deliver to the people, and many requests were already put forward, such as a better route into Alabama Extension 3. In addition, the electricity and housing plans in Alabama Extension 2, and note was taken on the need of emergency services and budgeting for a new fire engine, is also in the pipeline. Overall, improvement for the benefit of the city is the aim with the Adjustment Budget for 2005/06, now adopted. |
