Tusk Car giveaway

On Sunday 27 March 2005 Tusk Rio Casino once again gave away another car, this time round it was a sporty Audi A3.

The draw was attended by hundreds of people from far and near and out of a total of 9605 tickets in the tombola, three additional finalists were selected making it a total of 9 finalists for the draw.

Each finalist drew a ticket number and in that order they proceeded to choose a box with a letter in each.

Only three of the nine boxes contained a letter that enabled the person to go through for the car draw, the others received cash prizes.

Mrs Sharon Wilken was one of the 3 ladies to go through to the final car draw and the overall lucky winner of the Audi A3.

A very emotional and over-joyed Mrs Wilken stated that she has always been a very negative person and therefore she did not think that she was going to win at all.

She also added that her husband and family remained positive throughout the draw and they indicated to her that she was going to win.A very grateful Mrs Wilken asked to thank all who were involved with the promotion.

North West Hospice

Hospice needs books. Working for Hospice North West is a wonderful experience because you get to meet so many people and do so many different tasks.

One of them is to sell books to raise funds. Normally Hospice's garage is full of books where people can come and browse and on the last Friday of every month, we are at Pick 'n Pay Hypermarket with all kinds of interesting reading materials.

Over the past year this has gone so well, that stock are now almost depleted. We request from community to donate all kinds of books that they have read and loved.

Mostly  Mills & Boons, good dramas and spy and detective novels are welcome.
