The Barnyard Theatre's latest show “Rock Around the Clock” is a lively musical exploration of some great songs from the 50's and 60's.

It is a terrific show for all ages. The music, lights, and costumes, transports the audience into a different era. Guests are entertained with musical tributes to icons Elvis, Nat King Cole, and Marilyn Monroe. Shaky Russell is the host of the show and describes it as a “musical trip down memory lane.”  Performers sing hits from the 50's and 60's that will bring everyone to their feet.

The talented cast of “Rock Around the Clock” is exceptional. Everyone really brings their characters to life for the audience. Shaky Russell has been impersonating Elvis since he was 5 years old. He has won awards for being “The King of Rock 'n' Roll” and has even paid tribute to Elvis at Graceland. He said he loves being an Elvis entertainer. Those who cannot get enough of Shaky's Elvis can catch him again in the Barnyard Theatre's production of ” Walking in Memphis”. It opens in Durban and will hopefully come to Klerksdorp.

The entire cast commented on how much they enjoy performing in Klerksdorp. James Dobson said: “The people here really get into the shows, we don't have to coax them to get up and dance. It's really fantastic.”

Guests were treated to light snacks while they were introduced to the Eco-Estate.  The presentation was well planned and informative. Viewers were shown different housing options available and exactly what they can expect in terms of safety features and building plans.
