Four By Four By Fantastic!

The Wesvaal 4x4 Club held their annual 4x4 fun day on 7 July and the event was a massive success. 4x4's of all shapes and sizes tested their tyres against various obstacles, and believe me, as hazardous as it looks from the outside  it's even scarier in the front seat! 

As clouds of dust drifted across the field, engines roared and exhausts sputtered as the off road competitors showed their strength and skills. A few unfortunates broke down or, how embarrassing, ran out of petrol.  

Those who found themselves stuck in the mud run wished for umbrellas, as full on mud wrestling events took place: truck vs truck in bumper to bumper push and pull battles. Many spectators found themselves having to run for cover as the mud flew high. Continued on page 6
