Yourcity Turns Seven!!
Seven is seen as a lucky number in many cultures. To Christians
it represents perfection, while Muslims speak of seven heavens.
To others it is lucky, magical or powerful (as well as being the
spot count on a ladybird). Seven is the optimum number of hours
of sleep for humans, according to scientific studies, but here
at Yourcity we willingly give up sleep in order to bring you
Klerksdorp's favourite free newspaper.
Yourcity began in 2000, as a local news and information website
in Klerksdorp. We branched out into website designing, graphic
designing, and finally the free newspaper you know so well.
We are now excited and proud to celebrate our seventh birthday
this week! We plan to keep you reading and involved for many
more years, bringing you the same good quality newspaper year
after year. Thanks to all our loyal supporters, advertisers and
readers for making us one of the top newspapers in the area. We
promise to keep up the good work. |
